On the Move
As if surrounded by a celestial halo, space shuttle Discovery made its way towards the expansive confines of NASA Kennedy Space Center's Vehicle Assembly Building following a move from its processing hangar on Sept. 9, 2010. A metal sling will be carefully connected to the spacecraft and then operators will hoist it from transfer aisle to the high reaches of the 52-story building before lowering it into place beside the external fuel tank and twin solid rocket boosters. Crews then will connect the spacecraft giving the stack its familiar launch day form. Discovery is targeted to liftoff on the 11-day STS-133 mission on Nov. 1 at 4:40 p.m. EDT. Some friends came over. After nearly thwarted attempts to get them both to sleep in my son’s room, the four adults fired up the Wii and played until just before midnight.

Happy New Year! I packed up the kids and AlphaGeek and we went to a friends house who also had kids and we let them play while we cracked crab and drank margaritas until the wee hours.
I had far too much to drink. I think one of my resolutions will be to never drink 6 margaritas ever again.

crab and margaritas GOOD! hangovers BAD! i didn’t even make it through 1 beer before it was warm but stayed up too late by myself so i had a “lack of sleep” hangover the next day. srsly, i feel hungover when i get less than 5 hours. it sucks the same but without the fun the night before. nad it goes away with a nap.
