school is back in.

so now that i am back in school, and going 4 days a week, posting will be irregular.  after a small disaster with my schedule, it seems i have already gotten it worked out.  so classes this semester are as follows:  American Environment-a history class about our environment; photo-intermediate; Art History-Northern renaissance; photo lab tech; acid room lab tech; and printmaking assistant.  the best part is the 24 hour access to both the print and photo studios.  the worst part is the being there late 2 nights a week.

so now that school is back in, i will have lots of interesting things to share with you (hopefully) that i will learn in class.  learning is fun!  school is fun!  (i will keep repeting these things until i believe it or graduate.  whichever comes first)

    Northern Renaissance?
I mean, Germany had some mild form of renaissance in art but it was rather marginal wasn’t it? Most of the northen countries were all beauty-hating protestants at the end of the day!

Oh dear, I am talking like one of those counter-reformation guys… ;)

yeah, germany is included, basically everything north of the alps. given the choice, i’d rather do italian renaissance, but i couldn’t fit it in and i didn’t much care for the teacher anyway. i’ve been to italy and studied the renaissance there, so i have much more point of reference for italy. but whatever, i guess it won’t be too bad. i’ll keep you posted!

Where did you spend your time in Italy? If I may ask…

(then i spent 2 months traveling through England and Scotland with a short stop in Paris) i did a travel abroad program through my community college to Italy, but i traveled the last 2 months by myself. those were the days… ahh. didn’t you say you were from continental Europe, Ophmac?
