Posted by andromeda*art on June 7th, 2008 filed in Cool Shite, politics, videobear with me while i get worked up into my Obama fervor. again, this is the first time in my life i have felt like getting involved beyond casting my permanent absentee ballot. (i’ve never liked actually going to the polls) hell, i might even volunteer or something this year. i could start right here on my own street with my friends who aren’t even registered to vote. (you know who you are and i am coming after you)

Naw, that is the POINT and MAGIC of humour… For instance, is death funny? Not usually, but what are the majority of some of the funniest jokes about? Hahaha…DEATH. Think of the one about Superman in a bar…(and let me know if you haven’t heard that one…it’s a doooozie). The point of bringing humour into very difficult subjects is to provide our brains a means in which to grasp topics that would otherwise cause us, for self/sanity preserving reasons, to turn our heads, to not think about it. It allows us some sunglasses when staring into the bright glare of reality. It is a soothing salve and a hand we hold to face the world as it is. I thought that this was BRILLIANT, Tamara. Thanks for sharing. It made me laugh outloud. And yes, I am catching up on your blog…slowly but surely…good shit!!!
