angel kisses

i hate the word “mole” when in reference to spots on the body.  i prefer the terms “birthmark”, or “angel kisses”, or even “little brown spots”.  that said, i have a very prominent one on my face.

my mother used to have one, but it went away with one of her pregnancies.  mine was mirror image to hers.  hers was mirror image to her father’s.

the other day i was sitting on the couch with The Dictator, tickling him, kissing him, and telling each other secrets and i noticed he is getting one, mirror image to mine.  i didn’t realize that it can take kids a few years to develop their little brown spots.  so far his is still just a freckle ~ one sweet kiss from the angels.  and it is right next to his sweet little dimple.  i love it.
